Livelihoods

help break the cycle of poverty

While Vietnam has achieved rapid economic growth in recent decades, the development of the country has not been evenly distributed and the incidence of poverty still remains high.  In some provinces, such as Cao Bang (one of our main project locations), the ratio of the population are living in poverty is much higher than other locations in the country.

For poor and marginalized communities, opportunities for income generation are limited, due to a lack of education, environmental factors or social exclusion.   ADRA in Vietnam is committed to enhancing the livelihoods of these vulnerable groups through a range of targeted and sustainable interventions such as vocational training and micro-credit schemes, including animal loans.
