The project will improve the health, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) of 600 poor marginalized ethnic minority households through five key activities: (i) reducing water-borne diseases, especially among women and children; (ii) providing access to clean and affordable water; (iii) building local capacity among Youth WASH Champions; (iv) developing locally-designed WASH campaigns to reach the entire community; (v) creating a local market for innovative, sand-filter water purification systems for sustainable clean drinking water for the broader community.
