Community Empowerment on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation for building safety and resilience (CEM) Project

Project Objective: Safety and resilience of marginalized ethnic minority communities have increased through improvement of preparedness and response mechanisms by engaging local authorities and communities in reducing vulnerability to natural disasters and climate change in Bao Lac district of Cao Bang Province

Expected Outcomes:

Outcome 1: Marginalized ethnic minority communities, leaders and local authority staffs have increased capacity and awareness on grassroots development, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

Outcome 2: Marginalized ethnic minority communities, leaders and local authority staffs have change behaviors on grassroots development and DRR & CCA through implementation of different DRR and CCA plans and initiatives at both household and community levels.

Primary Beneficiaries: 500 Households (Approximately 2,000 people)
