ADRA Vietnam

ADRA in Vietnam is part of the ADRA International network of humanitarian and development non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operations in more than 120 countries worldwide. It seeks to build a future that is characterized by equity, opportunity,
freedom of choice, responsible stewardship of resources, and individual and collective security.

ADRA Vietnam also holds a Permit for Operations issued by the People’s Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM) and as of this annual report is licensed to operate in five provinces: Quang Ngai in the central coast region, Ha Tay in the Red River Delta, and Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, and Cao Bang in the northern mountainous region.

Our capacity

Since 1993 ADRA in Vietnam has been active in all of ADRA’s coreportfolios with nearly 100 projects in more than 50 of Vietnam’s provinces.  ADRA in Vietnam has experience with a range of international donors including AusAID, CIDA (Canada), DANIDA, and NewZAID.  In addition ADRA in Vietnam has implemented programs funded by various private donors, special interest groups and ADRA network support offices.

Our Strategic Direction

Summary:

Poverty reduction through economic development and livelihood programs and health care are the main sectors, specifically reproductive health and substance abuse, HIV/AIDS; basic education; water and sanitation and disaster response.

Project Expansion in Cao Bang and Binh Phuoc. We will expand into other provinces (Ha Tay, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City ) when strategically expedient.

 At least two multi-year projects with a lifetime of at least two years are funded every year

ADRA Vietnam establishes ongoing programs, full-time project staff and project resources in at least two provinces at a time
